How does Avanty work?

Avanty is a Chrome extension that works with Metabase. Once installed, it automatically detects SQL queries in Metabase and provides helpful features to make writing, editing, understanding, and commenting on SQL queries faster and easier.

Can Avanty be used with self-hosted Metabase instances?

Yes, Avanty can be used with both self-hosted Metabase instances and Metabase Cloud.

Does Avanty support multiple languages for SQL queries?

Avanty currently works best with natural language commands given in English. However, improvements for other languages are being worked on.

Is my data safe?

Avanty only accesses metadata about your SQL queries and never touches any customer data. It uses the SQL queries you write and the Metabase API to retrieve metadata about your Metabase instance.

Can I try Avanty before purchasing?

Yes, there is a free 14-day trial available that allows for 50 query edits and generations. A credit card is required to sign up for the trial, but you can cancel your subscription at any time.

Is Avanty always 100% correct?

Avanty is mostly correct but not always. Generated SQL queries might sometimes be missing columns or misinterpret your intent. However, even with a ~95% accuracy rate, Avanty can save you a lot of time.
